ROBERT MUSSO ANNOUNCES LAUNCH OF NEW WEBSITE; PERFORMS AT DMG 16TH ANNIVERSARY

New York, NY - New York producer/engineer /guitarist, Robert Musso, announces the launch of his new Jazz/Improv/Alternative website, a collection of music downloads, pictures and stories spanning his thirty year career as a nucleus member of the downtown Manhattan music scene. The website hosts the full catalog of both released and unreleased recordings of Musso's acclaimed improv-rock unit Machine Gun, his solo efforts including, “Absolute Music" and “Innermedium", as well as music released on his successful former record label, MuWorks. MuWorks produced Musso's own projects, and was responsible for releases by notable downtown musicians like the late free-saxist Thomas Chapin, drummer Pheeron AkLaff, and the rock-improv/spoken- word unit, Lunar Ensemble, among others. The site also includes a complete discography and stories culled from his twenty-five year stint as studio engineer to Bill Laswell, with whom he has recorded and produced over 1000 CD's for an international cache of jazz, pop, world and alternative music artists and luminaries. Musso expects to expand the music and merchandise offerings available through the website in the coming year.

As a longtime supporter of Bruce Gallanter and Manny Maris's Downtown Music Gallery in New York, the band Robert Musso & Friends has been invited by the pair to perform at the upcoming 16th Anniversary Celebration of the venerable music store. Joining Musso on stage will be guitarist Raoul Bjorkenheim, bassist Dave Dreiwitz (Ween), drummer Eric Slick (Adrian Belew), spoken word/soundscape artist John “Lunar" Richey (Lunar Ensemble, Machine Gun), and Elliot Levin on sax/flutes (Cecil Taylor). The evening also includes performances by Burnt Sugar and the quartet of John Zorn, Raoul Bjorkenheim, Shanir Blumenkranz and Lukas Ligeti. The Downtown Music Gallery's 16th Anniversary Celebration will take place on Saturday. September 22, 2007 at 7:00 pm at The Bowery Poetry Club, 308 Bowery at Bleeker, New York, NY, Admission is $15.
