Mondays: Northern Lights Jazz Series

New York, NY (September 12, 2006): Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola continues its tradition of bringing in world-class jazz acts with the best view of any jazz club in New York City. The October lineup includes: Ben Riley and the Monk Legacy Septet, Freddy Cole, the music of Antonio Carlos Jobim & Stan Getz with Trio da Paz and friends, the Ted Nash Quintet, Gerald Wilson with the Juilliard Jazz Orchestra featuring Sean Jones and, closing out the month, the Eric Alexander Quintet. Plus, every Monday in October features the Northern Lights Jazz Series. The series is presented in cooperation with the five Nordic Consulates General in New York.

Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola offers spectacular views and serves a jazz inspired menu seven days a week through the collaboration between Great Performances and Spoonbread culinary creators.

Throughout October, the European Dream Festival will present vibrant, innovative, and cutting-edge productions in dance, theater, music, film, and literature from today's Europe of disappearing borders and expanding cultural diversity. Taking place at 20 New York City venues, the Festival is an unprecedented concerted effort by a great number of European countries, including new and aspiring members of the European Union. The Festival, slated to become an annual or biennial event, was initiated by the Goethe-Institut, the French Institute Alliance Franaise, the Italian Cultural Institute, and the Czech Center, all in New York, and is supported by the European Union. www.europeandream.us
