Turks & Caicos Third Annual Music And Cultural Festival

(Providenciales, Turks & Caicos Islands) The Turks & Caicos Tourist Board, in association with BET Event Productions, presents the Third Annual Turks & Caicos Music and Cultural Festival, scheduled for July 31st - August 7th, 2006. An exciting list of activities at various venues on the beautiful island of Providenciales can be expected, with the Turtle Cove Marina at the center of it all.

Confirmed local and international artists set to perform on the main concert stage at Turtle Cove Marina include: multi-platinum, Grammy award-winning Dirty South rapper Ludacris; Grammy-nominated contemporary jazz saxophonist Najee; 2004 American Idol winner Fantasia; Grammy award-winning gospel singer Yolanda Adams; acclaimed reggae ambassadors Steel Pulse; reggae and soca Caribbean ensemble Stanley Roots Band; and Jamaican dancehall boy band T.O.K.

Festival attendees will be treated to local boat regattas, Miss Turks & Caicos beauty pageants, a float parade, premier beaches, world-class diving, and an abundance of local food, music and culture.

President of BET Event Productions Paxton Baker remarked, “This is our third year producing this event, and each year BETJ maximizes the exposure of this beautiful destination and this star-studded festival in major cities across the US. Turks & Caicos is really the perfect getaway destination with beaches that would easily compete with the best in the world! BET J will air a Turks & Caicos Music and Cultural Festival 2006 Preview Show, which will highlight many of the artists scheduled to perform and activities that visitors can expect to enjoy, on the following dates (all times are in EST): Saturdays, June 3 & 17; July 1, 22 & 29 at 1pm, 8pm and 1am.
