Imagine if you will, 5 very different people joined together by a love of “popular" music but also improvisation.

Now imagine, these 5 very odd people coming together and creating a CD of studio recordings and live songs taken from a show with Sony recording artists, the Bad Plus, during the Downtown Toronto Jazz Festival's 20th anniversary celebration.

Dafydd Hughes (the Deborahs, Esthero, Chris Hunt tentet), Drew Birston (Ron Davis, Chantal Kreviazuk, Kevin Barrett), Chris Gale (Rich Underhill, Blue Rodeo, Tyler Yarema), Tim Shia (Dee Kay Ibomeka, Richard Underhill, Julie Michels) and special guest turntablist, LEO37 joined together to form the WORST POP BAND EVER.

If you want to hear what Geoff Chapman from the Toronto Star refers to as “...SUPERIOR JAZZ.." or if you're bored and really have nothing better to do. Come to our CD release at:

Rex Hotel and Jazz Club
194 Queen St. W.
Wed, April 19, 2006, 9:30pm
