One of the most eagerly anticipated annual musical events in Naples is set to make its return to the city in just a few weeks. Now in its eighth year, Vico Jazz aims to promote the art for on a national and international scale and has worked hard over the last few years to set up cultural programmes around the region.
As usual, the event takes place in the 17th century cloister of the Chiostro della Trinita, meaning it is within easy reach of the wide array of Naples Hotels.
Vico Jazz has a reputation for attracting a very high calibre of performers, form Tania Maria, Franco Ambrosetti and Roy Hargrove in 2002, to Enrico Rava and Brian Blade in 2005 and Ron Carter and Eddie Gomez in 2007.
Acts confirmed to appear at this year's edition of the celebration include the Peter Bernstein Trio, the Fabio Nunziata Quartet and the Orchestra Napoletana di Jazz ospite Alice Ricciardi.
Tickets for the musical festival, which takes place between July 17th and 20th, are on sale now and vary in price depending on the performance being attended. People planning to attend may wish to act sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment.
