On Thursday, March 4 at 9:00 p.m., Douglass Street Music Collective will present UNICYCLES, a relay-style series of solo performances by an ensemble cast of six up-and-coming Brooklyn improvisers. The members of the cast, who collaborate in various other groups including Gleason's Twins, Dollshot, and Cuddle Magic, will assemble one B-52 of sonic pleasure, piece by piece.

The evening will consist of improvisations-in-tandem, with solos occurring one after another in a continuous fashion. This continuity will allow for the musicians' collective unconscious to dictate the direction of the solos, as well as the performance as a whole.

Personnel:

Cole Kamen-Green: trumpet/electronics
Noah Kaplan: saxophone
Wes Matthews: piano
Joe Moffett: trumpet
Matt Plummer: trombone
Kristin Slipp: voice
