The OC Pavilion Announces Friday Evening Concert Series

The OC Pavilion is pleased to announce the Grand Opening of their new Friday evening concert series featuring local acclaimed jazz performers in The Vault VIP lounge held on June 1, starting at 8 PM. Once a basement vault for a large bank, The Vault VIP has been transformed into a plush lounge with hightop tables, leather sofas, intricate art pieces and romantic lighting.

Signature cocktails, fine wines and beers and light appetizers and desserts, including a Chef's selection of Artisan Cheese, are available for purchase. Entrance to The Vault VIP includes a $10 cover charge and a 1-drink minimum. In celebration of the Grand Opening, raffle drawings will be held during the performer's break. The evening's performance features legendary jazz pianist and arranger Llew Mathews and accomplished jazz vocalist Jennifer Hart.

Mathews has worked with Grammy award winner Nancy Wilson since 1987 and has performed as a sideman for Stanley Turrentine and Kenny Burrell. He has performed with Kari Gaffney and Jeff Williams, Stanley Gilbert, The Thom Rotella band, Jackie McLean, Ron Eschete, Luther Hughes, John B. Williams, Cal Haines, and award winning jazz vocalist Chris Williams. Mathews performs regularly with Jennifer Hart in venues around Southern California.

Jennifer Hart's bluesy, voice combines the luster of Billie Holiday and the mellowness of Sarah Vaughan. Her repertoire spotlights Duke Ellington to Elton John, Fats Waller to Andrew Lloyd Weber. Jennifer sings phonetically in eight languages and has appeared as guest vocal soloist with the Cypress Pops Orchestra, the Capistrano Valley Symphony, and is currently the featured vocalist with the Frank Amoss Orchestra and Arlene and the Guys Big Band and the Jazz Lite Octet.

Future performances at The Vault VIP include Jack Wood and Peggie Perkins on June 8th, The Alex Burke Quartet on June 15th and Scott Martin, latin sax performer, on June 29th. Additional show information is available online at www.myspace.com/thevaultvip.
