The Jazz Bakery
Situated for 16 glorious years in the Historic Helms Bakery Complex, will be presenting its last performances in that location on Sunday, May 31, 2009.

Our landlord, the Marks family, beginning with Wally Jr. and continuing with Wally III, has been completely supportive of us throughout, and we thank them profusely. Wally Marks III is now fulfilling his vision of The Helms complex, and will be making room for retailers, which affects our present space. He has pledged his support of helping us with our dismantling and storage until we find a new venue. Our target date to reopen is this fall.

While we search for a new home, the JB will maintain a presence throughout the summer appearing at various clubs and theatres, presenting the same fine level of artists who define our very core. We will publicize our summer schedule accordingly. Above all, please keep up with our website for information.

Our Mission Continues - of bringing up a new generation of fans and exposing them to the masters, and the new faces that cultivate and preserve Americas jazz legacy. Student rush programs and special events will be wherever we are. Our current partnerships will remain while we grow new ones during this transition.

The JB reputation has grown far beyond what anyone could have imagined, for it has become acclaimed worldwide. When the music starts again in the fall, our new space will burst at the seams. Youll see!!

Until May 31, it's business as usual, so don't miss out on all the great music
