The Kiama Jazz Festival will be presenting one of Sydney’s popular cabaret style bands, Viva the band plus a line up of truly exceptional bands including: John Morrison’s Swing City * Galapagos Duck * Jim Conway’s Big Wheel * Bondi Cigars * Ingrid James * Matt Baker Quartet * Ash Grunwald * Wollongong Conservatorium Jazz Orchestra * Adrian Cunningham Quartet * Kerrie Sweeney * Wayne Jury & The King Bros * Darren Coggan. Viva the band will be providing a variation to the usual fare of : swing, traditional jazz, modern jazz and mainstream. Performing: hot club Gypsy jazz, with Spanish guitar, swinging Grappelli style Jazz violin, French show tunes on musette accordion and bass,. Spanish Songs by Jose Santos who also plays congas, plus, stunning Billie Holiday style vocals by Gerri Santos. The Kiama Jazz Festival and its surrounds promises to provide a wonderful entertaining and musical weekend for locals and travellers alike. The festival kicks off on the 4th March and continues over the 5th and 6th March.
