Join us in September at Charlie Os for a CD Release Party for The Trio Live at Charlie O's

With Peter Erskine, Terry Trotter and Chuck Berghofer, a special performance with John Allred and Howard Alden, a birthday party for Jon Mayer with Pete Christlieb on hand, a birthday party for Janis Mann, the return of Abe Laboriel with the Emil Richards Joe Porcaro Quartet and lots of other great guests.

Friday and Saturday
Performances this month include guests Denise Donatelli on the 4th with Andy Langham, Kevin Kanner and Hamilton Price kicking off our Labor Day Weekend, Ron King on the 5th with John Heard, Andy Langham and Fritz Wise, Gary Foster on the 11th with John Heard, Andy Langham; Rickey Woodard on the 12th with John Heard, Roy McCurdy, Andy Langham, James Smith on the 18th with John Heard, Roy McCurdy and a special guest on piano, Plas Johnson on the 19th with John, Roy and Andy, Janis Mann on the 25th (Birthday Party!) with Roy McCurdy, Andy Langham, John Belzaguy, and Don Menza on the 26th Roy McCurdy, Chris Conner. Please make reservations for all Friday and Saturday performances.

The hottest Thursday line up in town
This month includes John Allred (making a rare LA appearance) & Roger Neumann with Howard Alden, Harold Mason, Joel Hamilton on the 3rd, Pete Christlieb on hand to celebrate Jon Mayers birthday with Roy McCurdy, Chris Conner on the 10th, THE TRIO (Terry Trotter, Peter Erskine, Chuck Berghofer) on the 17th celebrating the release of their CD The Trio Live at Charlie Os (you will need reservations for the 17th) and Chuck Berghofers Midnight Jazz Band featuring Gary Foster on the 24th. Reservations are highly recommended for these Thursday performances.

Mondays in September
Showcase the Scott Whitfield Quintet on the 14th, the Carl Saunders Quintet featuring Chuck Manning on the 21st and the exciting Theo Saunders Quartet on the 28th. Please note that we are closed for the Labor Day Holiday on the 7th.

Our Tuesday performances in September
Include the Chris Colangelo Quartet (Chris, Benn Clatworthy, Steve Haas) on the 1st, the Charles Owens Quartet on the 8th, the great Luther Hughes Cannonball Coltrane Project (Luther, Ed Czach, Bruce Babad, Kevin Garren, Paul Kreibich) on the 15th; the outstanding Jim Cox Trio (Jim, John Ferraro, Domenic Genova) on the 22nd, and the CJS Quintet (Chuck Johnson, James Smith, Kojo Ono, Keita Akutsu, Chris Colangelo) on the 29th. Reservations are suggested for these performances.

The Wednesday line up
Begins with the Carl Saunders Sextet on the 2nd, the Jack Sheldon California Cool Quartet on the 9th and 23rd, the return of Abe Laboriel with the Emil Richards Joe Porcaro Quartet on the 16th (Emil, Joe, Abe and Mike Lang), and the Tony Inzalaco Quintet (Tony, Chuck Manning, Nolan Shaheed, Theo Saunders, Chris Colangelo) on the 30th. Please make reservations for these performances.

The Sunday line-up
Includes the Benn Clatworthy Quartet on the 6th, the Joe LaBarbera Quintet (Joe, Bill Cunliffe, Bob Sheppard, Clay Jenkins, Tom Warrington) on the 13th, the Julie Kelly Quartet on the 20th, and the Devin Kelly Organ Trio on the 27th (Devin, Joe Bagg, Larry Koonse). Reservations are suggested for these performances.

October
Heres a preview of some of the upcoming trumpet events in October: Bobby Shew will be here on the 10th, Jim Rotondi will be here on the 27th, and Lew Soloff will be here on the 29th (with Jerry Vivino, James Wormworth, Mike Merritt, Larry Goldings) on the 29th and Lew Soloff is here on the 31st with John Heard, Roy McCurdy and Andy Langham. We are also celebrating Julie Kellys birthday on the 30th with John Heard, Roy McCurdy and Andy Langham.

We are located at 13725 Victory Blvd. in Van Nuys (on Victory, just West of Woodman Avenue). Jo-Ann, Mike, Matt, Teesee, Naomi and Nicole look forward to seeing you in September at Charlie Os.
