Denny Zeitlin has been busy. His trio, with Buster Williams and Matt Wilson, has just finished a successful summer and fall of appearances at the Litchfield, Chicago, Monterey, San Francisco and Hollywood (FL) Jazz Festivals, where they played to rave reviews, packed venues and standing ovations.

Denny's new CD, Solo Voyage, released by MaxJazz in June, has received considerable radio play, and critical acclaim. At the close of the year, JazzIz Magazine will announce that the recording has been selected for its Critic's “Best of 2005" list.

The San Francisco based renaissance man, who's also a practicing psychiatrist, launched his website this summer. In addition to a detailed multimedia overview of his remarkable career in music, Denny's other interests are featured on the site as well. An avid mountain biker and fly-fisherman, Dr. Zeitlin is also a wine connoisseur. Comprehensive videos detail these interests, including a tour of his wine cellar, a wine tasting celebration, an introduction to fly-fishing, and separate videos for Fresh Water and Salt Water fly-fishing.

Denny Zeitlin is the subject of this months' All About Jazz Podcast. Download this audio interview with Denny where he discusses his appearances at the Chicago and Monterey Festivals, as well as his new solo piano recording, “Solo Voyage.":
