Omar Sosa has received a GRAMMY nomination for his CD release Mulatos (OTA1014) in the Best Latin Jazz category from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS). Mulatos features Paquito D'Rivera (clarinet), Dieter Ilg (bass), Steve Arguelles (producer, drums), Renaud Pion (clarinets), and Philippe Foch (tabla).
Mulatos is joined in the Latin Jazz category by recordings from Ray Barretto, Caribbean Jazz Project Featuring Dave Samuels, Sammy Figueroa And His Latin Jazz Explosion, and Eddie Palmieri. The GRAMMY Awards will be held on Wednesday, February 8 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, and broadcast live on CBS from 8:00 PM to 11:30 PM (ET/PT).
