This Monday, June 21st, we'll present another edition of our special feature, MONDAY WITH THE MASTERS on MOJA Radio. This time the focus is on possibly the most celebrated pianist and composer his country has ever produced, the man from The Dominican Republic, MICHEL CAMILO. You'll hear of his career beginnings growing up in Santo Domingo where his unique blend of jazz, classical and Latin styles developed, and how a chance meeting with Voice of America jazz presenter Willis Conover and others led him to take the giant leap to New York City where his star quickly rose. You'll hear how meeting the members of Manhattan Transfer led to a Grammy award and of course you'll hear lots of his great music. Listen for MONDAY WITH THE MASTERS twice every Monday, at Noon Eastern/9 AM Pacific, with a replay Monday night at 9 PM Eastern/6 PM Pacific and this week we place our spotlight on one of the kings of Latin Jazz, MICHEL CAMILO!

LIVE @ MOJALand happens four times each week here on MOJA Radio as we invite you to join us inside the world's only imaginary jazz club for rare, live performances by the biggest names in Modern Jazz. Listen Wednesday morning at 9 AM ET and again Wednesday night at 9 PM East/6 PM West, and twice again on Sunday at 11 AM & 11 PM ET, as part of the Sunday Specials. This week we'll celebrate the start of what is possibly the greatest of all the jazz festivals as we present JOHN SCOFIELD LIVE IN MONTREAL 1992. As John returns to the Festival International de Jazz de Montreal this year with his Piety Street Project, we'll look back at one of his many performances at this great 12-day event in beautiful Montreal. In 1992 he took the stage at a famous concert hall on St. Catherine Street that no longer exists, the legendary Spectrum. With him were saxophonist Joe Lovano, drummer Bill Stewart and bassist Dennis Irwin and you'll hear Scofield classics like “Chariots," “Eisenhower," “Meant To Be," and more. It's a red hot performance by one of MOJA's greats at the Spectrum and we'll take you there if you'll join us for JOHN SCOFIELD LIVE IN MONTREAL 1992 on this week's edition of LIVE @ MOJALand!

Join Russ Davis as he gives you an hour of nothing but the freshest MOJA on THE ALL NEW MUSIC REVUE every Thursday at 10 AM East/7 AM West with a replay at 10 PM East/7 PM West, and twice again on Sundays at 10 AM & 10 PM ET. This week you'll hear more of the new live Al Di Meola World Sinfonia music we debuted last week from the album recorded in Italy titled “La Melodia: Live in Milano," followed by more from the new album “The Stanley Clarke Band" as the great bassist and his new trio with special guest Hiromi Uehara give us one of Stanley's most interesting and varied releases ever. We'll hear some of the great new world-jazz from the legendary ECM label from Polish trumpeter Tomasz Stanko as well as Tunisian master of the Arabic stringed instrument the oud, Anouar Brahem. Then there's new stuff from a wild band from Southern California lead by guitarist Joe Bartone that call themselves Thelonious Dub and their great new work titled “Master Plan B." Every Friday beginning at 7 AM until midnight ET we'll begin each hour with a classic piece of Jazz Fusion history with our special feature we call IF IT'S FRIDAY, THIS MUST BE FUSION. When the Jeff Lorber Fusion returned with the album “Now Is The Time," they seemed to herald a return of Jazz Fusion awareness for the 21st century. Though Mr. Lorber is originally from Philadelphia, he's made his base of operations Portland then Los Angeles. So this Friday, June 25th, we'll look to the Fusion contributions from the left coast with a special feature we call “FUSION: WEST COAST STYLE!" You'll hear the man from L.A. who just may be the real “Father of Fusion," Chico Hamilton, as well as guitarist Lee Ritenour, multi-instrumentalist Charles Lloyd, Frank Zappa, George Duke, Carlos Santana, The Crusaders, Tom Scott & The L.A. Express, Tower Of Power, The Yellowjackets and of course the original Jeff Lorber Fusion. You'll hear them all if you join us for this week's edition of IF IT'S FRIDAY, THIS MUST BE FUSION. It's “FUSION: WEST COAST STYLE!"

This Saturday, June 26th spend the day in one of the world's greatest cities at one of the world's most popular jazz festivals with our weekly feature WORDS & MUSIC on MOJA Radio, this one titled “SATURDAY IN MONTREAL!" We'll take you to beautiful Montreal, Quebec to spend the day with Andre Menard, the man who has been the driving force behind The Festival International de Jazz de Montreal for the 31 years of its existence as he give us the story behind this incredible event that brings hundreds of the world's most famous players to the city for 12 days of great performances, most for free. Not only will Mr. Menard fill us in on his personal highlights for this year's festival but the background on how it works. Plus we'll hear from three of the artists who'll play this years event, Mike Stern, Richard Bona and Dave Douglas. Interview segments followed by music from some of the artists playing the 31st edition of the Montreal Jazz Fest will begin each hour from Noon through Midnight Eastern time (9 AM-9 PM Pacific).
