Issue 4 features a three-part article on saxophonist Trevor Watts, including an interview, a review of his performance at the 2005 Tampere Jazz Happening, and a survey of selected Watts recordings made over the last 40 years. An extensive essay traces the first Ghost Trances Musics compositions recorded by Anthony Braxton. Saxophonist Tim Berne answers 20 questions about life on the road in Travellin' Light. Moment's Notice contains reviews of CDs by artists ranging from Sun Ra to Ab Baars. The Circle with a Hole in the Middle revisits a vintage Andrew Hill solo LP, From California With Love.. And, The Uh Uh Uhs (the name is taken from a Steve Lacy tune) features commentaries on current music criticism.
