The incomparable Hank Johnson on piano will perform live at Cleopatra's Needle in Manhattan on Broadway and West 92nd Street on Thursday, November 14, 2002. In a rare club performance, featuring bassist John Ray (X-Ray), and Gary Smith on drums, the trios presence will light up the folks who for sure will wake up and smell the coffee as some new material written by composer Stuart H. Tresser is included in the sets. Where is jazz going from here? Find out, and come on out to catch this great unsigned, un-recognized trio. Truly a work of independence in the United States of America, not controlled by big shots and corporate executives, who determine who we hear as a jazz audiences! Reservations are suggested as the room will be jammed!
