Haitian band Tabou Combo to perform in Tunisia

TABOU COMBO, legendary Haitian “kompa" band (featuring, among others, trumpeter/Summit recording artist Ken Watters) has been invited to the “World Isles Music Festival" which will take place in Djerba, Tunisia. The festival will be held in August 2006, with Tabou Combo taking the stage on the evening of August 22.

Tabou will also headline the World Creole Music Festival in Dominica on October 28th, 2006. In addition, tours of Panama, Haiti, and Europe are in the works over the next few months.

Tabou Combo recently celebrated their 38th anniversary together. The band has well over 30 CDs under their belt & has produced several #1 hits throughout Europe, Central America, Haiti, the French Antilles & parts of Africa. Their hits have been featured on the soundtracks of several movies, most noteably Wes Craven's “The Serpent & The Rainbow" (1988) as well as being a regularly featured band on the Inflight Entertainment Systems of several major airlines' transatlantic flight routes.

Their music has been released worldwide in several languages, including Haitian/French Antillian Creole, French, Spanish & some English.
