Guitarist Martin Rider has released a new album of classic jazz, blues and acoustic tunes called 'The Conservatory Sessions'. A bonus for all is the tracks can be downloaded for free at his website.

Martin has lived in Rugby all his life but travelled all over the UK playing all types of music. Regular pub goers in Rugby will have seen Martin playing with such diverse bands as jazz and blues band 'Jazz Not Jazz' and the classic rock band 'Inside Out'. Martin's latest offering is quite different with just a guitar and good music for company. Martin explains how the recording came about.

“I'm known as a 'side man' guitarist to most other musicians in Rugby. A 'side man' plays everything and for everyone, anytime and any place. One day I could be playing the solo to 'Alright Now' and the next gig a gentle acoustic number. 'The Conservatory Sessions' is a collection of tunes I play for myself, sitting, believe it or not, in my conservatory. I'm looking forward to getting on the road with a band again, but in the meantime these lovely tunes put a beaming smile on my face."

Take a look and listen at the web site and get a taste of what Martin will playing at selected live gigs through the summer.
