Bob Erlendson's farewell show at Toronto's famed Hugh's Room, July 12, 2008 showcases material from his CD “All About Jazz - Volume I". Bob is a Canadian Jazz icon, well known as a pianist/composer and mentor in jazz circles. Bob was featured by Lenny Breau in Guitar Player magazine in the 80's, in the film The Genius of Lenny Breau and in the book One Long Tune... Bob has performed with Lenny Breau, Ed Bickert, Rob McConnell, Moe Koffman, & more.

“All About Jazz - Volume I" features Bob and his Octet performing his original Jazz in a live recording during Calgary's C-Jazz Festival in August 2007. See article previously printed in the Calgary Herald re: this recording.

Speaking about the project, Bob's daughter, and fellow musician, Jessica calls it “a labour of love." Jessica and her bassist husband Martyn van Remmen, approached Bob with the idea of creating this series to capture and share more than 50 years of Bob's groundbreaking music with Jazz lovers.

Bob will be joined at Hugh's Room by up-and-coming The Cafe Ole playing latin-infused jazz from their award-winning album “Cuanto Tardar." Bob will then move to Calgary to be closer to his grandchildren and daughter. He will continue recording and playing live concerts, with shows already planned in Calgary in August, Vancouver at the Cellar Sept 27 & 28, Winnipeg in October and other dates TBA.
