Boosey & Hawkes (B&H) is pleased to announce its representation of Savoy Label Group, home to veteran jazz label, Savoy Jazz, for synchronization on a worldwide basis.

The deal includes all of Savoys label imprints, including the jazz catalogs of Savoy, 32 Jazz, Muse and Landmark, the classical label Denon Classics, and SLGs growing indie rock imprint, 429 Records. The labels legendary catalogs include seminal recordings by prominent artists such as Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Dexter Gordon, Lee Morgan, Judy Garland, Helene Grimaud, Sviatoslav Richter, Alicia de Larrocha, David Oistrakh, and many others as well as contemporary recordings by Grammy Award winners Ravi Coltrane and Dr. John, as well as Little Feat, Jackie Greene, Everclear, The Gin Blossoms, Tonic, Cracker, Clem Snide and more.

This agreement is the latest in a string of landmark deals between publisher B&H and record label partners, positioning B&H as the leading industry specialists for jazz and classical music. In January 2009 EMI Music tapped B&H to represent Blue Note Records (now celebrating its 70th anniversary) for synchronization of its master recordings on a global basis, boasting artists John Coltrane, {{Thelonious Monk, Herbie Hancock, Dexter Gordon, and Cassandra Wilson, among many others. Over the past several years, B&H has established partnerships with labels NAXOS, Harmonia Mundi, Nimbus, Signum, BIS, and Sanctuary. These arrangements close the gap between publishing and master rights, creating streamlined licensing and one-stop shopping for TV, film, and advertising clients.

Says B&Hs Head of Consultancy, Natasha Baldwin: We are very pleased to add Savoy as our label partner. With Savoys wide array of jazz, pop and classical, B&H has the opportunity to pitch masters from cutting edge new artists and to bolster the amount of quality recordings we can offer for our existing publishing.

Steve Vining, President of Savoy Label Group, states We are very excited to work with the leading specialty synchronization firm and to have strong repertoire specialists bringing the full breadth of the Savoy catalogs to the film, television and advertising community.
