The Rhythm & Ribs Jazz Festival blends two of Kansas City's richest traditions, jazz and barbecue, creating an exciting recipe for family fun in the Historic 18th and Vine District this Father's Day Weekend, June 16, 17, and 18.

Rhythm & Ribs features national and local blues, jazz, gospel, and R&B artists. Guests also will enjoy a wide range of educational and recreational activities, much like traditional fairs and festivals during the District's heyday.

Last year, more than 30,000 people enjoyed lots of family-oriented activities and great music, and thousands more are expected on the Vine this year.
Rhythm & Ribs is a world-class music and barbecue event showcasing Kansas City and the rich heritage of 18th & Vine. It is quickly becoming one of the largest and most significant destination events in the Heartland!

Visit www.kcrhythmandribs.com for photos and highlights from last year. Watch for new talent and sponsor announcements beginning this month.

Rhythm & Ribs is a collaborative effort by the American Jazz Museum, the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, the Jazz District Redevelopment Corporation, the Black Economic Union, the Kansas City Convention and Visitors Association, and the Downtown Council of Kansas City, Mo.

Sprint is the festival's title sponsor. Other major sponsors committed to date include BlueCross BlueShield of Kansas City, Hallmark and Target.
