The worlds longest improvisational jam session of 45 plus hours was just completed, October 9, 10, 11, at the Fctory04 in Padua, Italy.
This years second such event titled 45 B-Side" or 45 Lato B in Italian drew large crowds to the small venue in the little city of Padua to witness non-stop improvisation by rotating musicians from around the world including King Crimson drummer Pat Mastelotto, guitarist Willie Oteri, looper / producer Ronan Chris Murphy, German drummer extraordinaire Schroeder, touch guitarist Markus Reuter and a slew of jazz and rock musicians from around the globe. For past events promoter Chris Boulet, working with a very low budget has magically obtained the talents of the above-mentioned musicians as well as bass master Tony Levin, producer Cookie Marenco and blues man Enrico Crivellaro. Next years scheduled event titled appropriately 78" to be held in late April has already attracted the interest of the musicians mentioned above as well as Zappa alumni Mike Keneally and Peter Gabriel drummer Jerry Marrota. Who knows who might show up at these events as their popularity grows.
If you would like to help sponsor the event or take part as a performer or stagehand please contact Chris Boulet at [email protected] or [email protected]
