On this excursion, “Recuerdos De Mi Madre (Memories of my Mother)”, the internationally acclaimed Jazz vocalist takes us on a beautiful nostalgic journey weaving the Latin songs she learned with her mother as a child. From the pens of great Mexican, Cuban and Latin American composers, Jackie embraces these themes with heartfelt passion and performs them through a Latin Jazz lens, transcending them into the 21st century with inspired fervor, evoking their poetic and melodic beauty with her inimitable phrasing and crystalline voice.

“This music has lived within me since I was very young,” explains Jackie. “This was the first music I heard in my home, and I believe my mother’s love of music, and her own happy singing, are what inspired me to become a singer. I hope that listeners will feel some of the joy and warmth that I felt when I first heard this music with my sweet mother. For me, her spirit will always live on in the songs she sang and loved to play.”

En esta excursión, “Recuerdos De Mi Madre”, la cantante de Jazz de renombre internacional nos lleva a un hermoso viaje nostálgico tejiendo las canciones latinas que aprendió con su madre cuando era niña. De la pluma de grandes compositores mexicanos, cubanos y otros latinoamericanos, Jackie abraza estos temas con sincera pasión y los interpreta a través de una lente de jazz latino, trascendiéndolos al siglo XXI con un fervor inspirado, evocando su belleza poética y melódica con su fraseo inimitable y voz cristalina.

“Esta música ha vivido dentro de mí desde que era muy pequeña”, explica Jackie. “Esta fue la primera música que escuché en mi casa, y creo que el amor de mi madre por la música y su propio canto feliz, son lo que me inspiró a convertirme en cantante.
