Album Description
23-year-old Boston-based Lithuanian pianist and composer Domas Žeromskas’ sophomore recording project “Meditations on Providence and Perseverance, Vol.1” captures the chemistry of his acclaimed trio with Ian Quinton Banno (bass) and Héctor L. Falu Guzmán (drums), as well as a number of thrilling collaborations, among whom are both jazz luminaries and rising stars: Gregory Groover Jr., Nadje Noordhuis, Gregory Tardy & Alexandria DeWalt, to name a few. The album's repertoire intertwines his Post-Bop, Gospel and Caribbean music influences, some daring yet soulful original compositions, creative re-imaginings of native Lithuanian composers' songbook and hymns from Christian traditions.
