This twelve track album by vocalist Vicki Burns features instrumentals that have later had lyrics written and documents the arc of a relationship. Her band members are all close musical colleagues and have workshopped Sam Bevan's masterful arrangements before recording them in January of 2020. From the liner notes written by Neil Tesser: "You can cobble together a definition of a "true jazz singer" from various factors, but here's the thing: no matter which ones you choose, Vicki Burns will still fit the bill."
