Album Description

EMBRACE is a collection of original compositions by saxophonist and visual artist Georgianna Krieger. Georgianna’s "melody-driven instrumental music” was written during the height of the pandemic in 2020-2021, when performing and rehearsing were not possible. Narrative and flowing, this is listener-friendly music that straddles the space between cool jazz and popular music genres. Georgianna – on soprano, alto and baritone saxophones – is joined by two all acoustic ensembles featuring Renaye Brown (percussion), Ted Burik (bass), Susanne Divincenzo (bass), Greg German (drums), Glen Iwaoka (drums),Gaea Schell (piano) Anne Sajdera (piano) and an eclectic list of guest soloists including Nancy Bien (cello), Dave Casini (vibraphone),Helena Jack (flugelhorn), Michele Walther (violin) and Laura Austin Wiley (flute) . The album EMBRACE will be released through Bandcamp on October 4th 2022.
