Brian Conigliaro: The Economics of Love
Detto che ognuno ha il diritto di autoprodursi quello che vuole, questo CD del chitarrista/armonicista Brian Conigliaro suscita in noi emozioni più consone ad un piano bar che non riflessioni degne di una vera e propria proposta artistica.

La musica è stata registrata prevalentemente dal vivo in piccoli locali periferici dello stato di New York e si muove senza soluzione di continuità fra jazz d'annata, blues corposo ed easy listening coerente al contesto.

Il repertorio è molto variegato e spazia da Charlie Parker a Bob Dylan, dagli Steely Dan a Gershwin, da Van Morrison a Tom Jobim, senza farsi mancare alcuni brani originali scritti dallo stesso Conigliaro.

Il celebre Leonard Feather ha esaltato le doti di armonicista di Conigliaro definendolo 'a great down home jazz/blues harmonica player.' In questo album lo ascoltiamo più come cantante e chitarrista...
