Musician

James Feldmeyer

Lonesome Jones (real name James Feldmeyer) was captivated by music when, at age 9, he heard the Beatles on AM radio in 1965. Within a few months he had a crude guitar and practiced until his fingers were bloody. The family acquired a piano in 1969 and Jones began picking-out melodies and chord progressions with no instruction. Over the years he taught himself to play bass guitar, ukulele, alto saxophone, harmonica and drums. Moving to California in 1972, Jones started playing lead guitar with group of high school friends, calling the group 'Savage Cabbage'. Playing a circuit around the Los Angeles area he performed in several blues/rock/R&B/pop music bands and orchestras
