Questo album del trombettista Justin Walter suona piuttosto peculiare ed a tratti misterioso: forse saranno i ritmi circolari, oppure le elucubrazioni dei fiati, o magari l'angolarità delle composizioni e la loro stessa scansione temporale. Non si sa e magari è meglio così, anche se la curiosità rimane.

Dieci brani su undici sono composizioni originali scritte da Justin Walter. La scena si svolge fra Detroit e Chicago e va a toccare musicisti non troppo noti che però sanno bene come amministrare i loro talenti.

La musica ha una sua fierezza e si muove circospetta in territori poco battuti che pescano dal linguaggio delle formazioni allargate per dipingere scene di vita che difficilmente possiamo catalogare come quotidiane. Forse dovremo ricercarle sulle stelle.
