Inciso nel febbraio 2014 e pubblicato a fine 2016, questo singolare album raccoglie sei pagine (tutte di durata media: dai cinque ai sette minuti) a firma del cornista John Clark, oggi settantaduenne, interpretate da un nonetto (Clark compreso) di stampo eminentemente cameristico (nello specifico third stream, se preferite).

L'impianto compositivo svaria da situazioni più rigorose, contemporanee (e citeremmo qui i tre pezzi pari, "Die Kreuzotter," "Eviter les contrefaçons," e soprattutto il conclusivo "Outage," che accoglie anche lievi pennellate elettroniche), a momenti invece alquanto scolastici (un velo di maniera, del resto, è avvertibile ovunque), ispirativamente ibridi ("Turbulence" ha inflessioni vagamente funkeggianti), non sempre condotti nel segno del buon gusto.

Un descrittivismo serpeggiante fra le righe non impedisce del resto al prodotto di farsi ascoltare con una certa soddisfazione, al di là del fatto che, alla fin fine, è la singolarità della proposta a guadagnare al disco un sostanziale plauso, malgrado si potesse (e in fondo si dovesse) scavare un po' di più in profondità.
