Aya Ishida

Aya Ishida is a New York based vocalist and composer. Originally from Japan, she moved to NYC in 2013 to pursue a music degree at City University of New York Hunter college. In 2014 She transferred to City University of New York City College where she received a B.F.A in Jazz performance under the Kaye Scholarship graduating with Degree Honors Magna Cum Laude in 2017. From the age of 8, Aya has been surrounded by music. Whether it was learning piano or singing in choirs as a soloist, she was always drawn to the energy of performing and discovering. After arriving in New York, Aya took her talent to new heights by studying with such masters as Steve Wilson and Carolyn Leonhart (just to name a couple)
