Tenor saxophonist Chris Ward was born in Connecticut in 1982, and began playing music at the age of 9. In 2000, Chris moved to Boston to attain a Bachelors of Music at the prestigious Berklee College of Music. Chris quickly immersed himself in the Boston music scene independently and through the school. While at Berklee, Chris studied privately with George Garzone and Frank Tiberi and was a member of many of the colleges top ensembles directed by such jazz legends as Hal Crook and Joe Lovano. Chris was also a member of the Berklee Concert Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Greg Hopkins. He has performed on stage with Joe Lovano, George Garzone, Bill Pierce, and Michele Camilo
