MUSICIAN Born:

Sabin Todorov

Sabin Todorov was born in Bulgaria in 1966, and is a graduate of the Sofia conservatory, where he took music theory and harmony. He then studied further at the Brussels conservatory with Nathalie Loriers, Diederik Wissels and Arnould Massart. A talented composer and arranger, he appears in Belgium for several years, his trio OUSTRO OUKO and Lionel Beuvens. His music integrates musical influences from his home country, Bulgaria. For more than 3 years too, he is regular pianist of the Singers Nights at the Music Village in Brussels, bringing to the singers, not only his talent, but also his fantastic capability to listen, his calm and his exceptional kindness. He appeared in duo with singers such as Geneviève Fraselle, Marianna Tootsie, etc... He was the accompanyist for the Brussels International Young Jazz Singers Competition, organized by the Music Village.

Reuel Lubag

Reuel Lubag is one of the well established jazz artists in the Pacific Northwest jazz scene. He is a graduate of Central Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music. As a member of the Native Jazz Quartet he served as a music ambassador to Latin America for the U.S. Department of State in May 2013 for a jazz festival in Venezuela, and again in April 2014 for a four-week tour which took the group to Guatemala, Ecuador, Bolvia, Peru, and Argentina. Reuel recently released his first self titled release in 2018: Premiere featuring up and coming NYC/Seattle based bassist Ben Feldman, and drummer Ed Littlefield, his bandmate from the Native Jazz Quartet

David Ecker

David Ecker is a jazz pianist, composer, and producer based in Brooklyn, NY. His EP, "The Visitor Suite" was released in 2018, and he is currently gearing up for the release of his debut LP.

Tal Klein

Tal Klein is an Israeli Jazz pianist, composer and educator based in New York City.

He was classically trained to play piano from the age of 6 . He was introduced to jazz at the age of 14. He studied at Katzanelson HS Music Dept. - Kfar Saba Israel for three years. During that time Tal was involved in a symphonic orchestra, big bands, and various ensembles. At the age of 17 he won the 2nd place Regional "Best Jazz Musician" (Youth). Afterwards he was accepted to the Israeli Police Orchestra as a lead pianist there he served 3 years from the age of 18-21. During his service he played in the most desired places and Festivals in Israel such as: The President House, The “Knesset”, Karmiel Festival, Klezmer Festival in Tzfat, The Israel Museum, “Ha’Bima” The House of the American Ambassador etc

Modern jazz group SIMIO's members are young, yet tell an ever-changing story with virtuosity and maturity. The music is melodic and lyrical, sitting on the edge between improvisation and composition. With a cinematic experience, the audience sits in close during our performance; “I got carried away in a flow I didn’t want to get out of”. After the release of their debut EP Delusional, which got picked up very fast by national radio programs, producers, fellow musicians, record labels and magazines a.o in the US, their second EP A New Path shows their growth. Playing style has developed aswel as vision, which affects composition.

Mwendo Dawa

SUSANNA LINDEBORG'S MWENDO DAWA is always an adventure listening to. They were a bit of pioneers when the group was formed in the 70th when it came to combining expression of Jazz and traditional instruments together with the possibilities given by new instruments of the time. And they still are. Apart from most others fascinated by the same possibilities at the time. Musically MWENDO DAWA is now working with improvisation in serial technique with electro acoustical backgrounds but with a strong rythmical approach. The group is still now, 30 years later, as much pioneers as ever before

Anders Helmerson

Anders Helmerson was born in a musical family in Sweden where his mother was a piano teacher and his father was a jazz musician. Anders has initially studied classical piano. However, his primary interests evolved toward progressive rock, such as Yes, King Crimson, as well as jazz music as Chick Corea, Bill Evans etc. In 1981, his first album “End Of Illusion” was released, initially by Swedish label TMC, but 15 years later it was re-released at French label Musea Records where it got cult status and became a big seller. According to a Japanese music magazine Euro-Rock Press, Anders has became famous by End Of Illusion and remembered by progressive rock fans in Japan for over a decade as a mysterious man

A/B Trio

A/B Trio brings together three of Albertas most in-demand performing and recording jazz musicians – Thom Bennett (drums), Dan Davis (saxophone), and Josh McHan (double bass). This ensemble is inspired by the open sounding, chordless groups of Sonny Rollins and Joshua Redman, as well as the work of Chris Potter and Ari Hoenig. Their material ranges from inventive re- interpretations of standards to modern, original repertoire and high-energy groove-based music. Renato Diz

Renato Diz is a Portuguese pianist, composer and producer based in New York. Born in Porto, Portugal, Renato studied classical piano exclusively for 12 years, under the tutelage of Dr. Rui Pintão, at Fundação Conservatório Regional de Gaia. A chance encounter with jazz at a concert by pianist and composer Carlos Azevedo, introduced him to the world of improvised music and he decided to pursue his studies in this art. In 2004 he became a private student of Carlos Azevedo and in 2006 he was accepted in the leading jazz program on the Iberian Peninsula at the time, for a Bachelor’s Degree in Musical Performance at ESMAE - IPP in Porto
