Born in Evansville, Indiana, Steve studied trumpet and composition under scholarship at Butler University. He switched his instrumental focus to the piano at age 22 and was hired by Buddy Morrow to perform with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra in 1977. Since moving to Harrisburg PA in 1978, he has been largely responsible for the growth and development of the thriving jazz scene in Central Pennsylvania. Steve is Past President and a founder of the Central PA Friends of Jazz, one of the most successful jazz organizations in the country. Presented as an “Emerging Artist” at the Jazz Times Convention in New York City in 1998 and winner of the 1999 Jazziz Magazine - Seven Springs Jazz Festival Piano Competition, Steve also received the prestigious 2002 Harrisburg Arts Award for his service to the community

Rick Hirsch is an award-winning composer and arranger who began his career as a personal music copyist for Bob Mintzer and Toshiko Akiyoshi. He has written music for jazz icons Yusef Lateef and Eddie Henderson, the Capitol Quartet, and the storied Penn State Blue Band, to name but a few.
He is in-demand as a guest conductor and formerly served on the music faculty of Penn State University.
In 2017 Rick Hirsch’s BIG OL’ BAND released their debut album, Pocono Git-Down, celebrating the vibrant under-the-radar jazz scenes beyond the big cities.
Hirsch studied improvisation with Yusef Lateef, Boysie Lowery, and Dave Liebman, and saxophone with Lynn Klock and Steve Duke

Dave Wilson is jazz saxophonist, recording artist, composer, and educator in the Central PA/ Delaware Valley area where he leads his band The Dave Wilson Quartet. Born and raised in Bronxville, N.Y. Wilson has studied with saxophonists Dave Liebman, Joe Lovano, Bill Barron, Ralph Lalama with a primary focus on tenor and soprano. He is also adept at alto, clarinet, and flute. With his quartet, Wilson and his band mates are known for their exciting improvisations, creative individualistic compositions, and unique arrangements of standards.
