David Bernot

David Bernot is a jazz saxophonist living in Denver, Colorado. Originally from Gilbert, Arizona David moved to the mile high city in 2012 to study jazz saxophone at the University of Denver and recently he received his Masters degree from the University of Colorado Boulder. He performs as a band leader and a freelance musician in a variety of musical styles from Jazz to Funk and EDM (Electronic Dance Music), and he teaches music as a private instructor as well as with the youth jazz organization Colorado Conservatory for the Jazz Arts. David is also an award winning jazz composer, most notably selected two times to be a recipient of the Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer award.

Originally from West Hartford, CT, Pete’s been a fixture on the NYC jazz scene since 1987. Before that, Pete studied at New England Conservatory (1981-83), University of Miami (1986, BM is jazz studies) and Manhattan School of Music (MM in jazz studies). As a professional trombonist (now retired from playing), he performed with numerous well-known artists and groups including the Maria Schneider Jazz Orchestra, The Woody Herman Big Band (dir. by Frank Tibieri), The Lionel Hampton Orchestra, Jimmy Heath, Kenny Werner, Dave Pietro, the “Smoke Big Band” directed by Bill Mobley, and from 1997 - 2019 was a regular member of the New York BMI Jazz Composers Workshop Orchestra

Along her fascinating career path, Amanda has performed with such internationally recognized artists as Ingrid Jensen, Emilie-Claire Barlow, Phil Dwyer, Christine Jensen, Brad Turner, Kelly Jefferson, and Jodi Proznick. Mike Tomaro has been the Director of the Jazz Studies Program at the Mary Pappert School of Music at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA since 1997. This saxophonist, composer, arranger and educator earned his B.S. degree in Music Education from Duquesne University and his M.A. degree in Saxophone Performance from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. Prior to his appointment at Duquesne, he lived in the Washington, D.C. area for seventeen years as a member of the Army Blues Jazz Ensemble, a unit of the prestigious “Pershing’s Own” U.S. Army Band. While a member of this group, he served as its Enlisted Musical Director and performed for Presidents Reagan, Bush and Clinton as well as heads of state from around the world
