Christianne Neves

Christianne Neves is a Brazilian jazz pianist, composer, arranger, multi-instrumentalist, and musical director. A passionate creative artist, Christianne has released four original instrumental music albums: Refúgio (2000), Duas Madrugadas (2005), Eyin Okan (2011) and Noite e Dias (2022). Her sophisticated compositions feature complex, unexpected harmonies and a rich texture of rhythms ranging from Latin American to African. She has also released two albums of arrangements: Andata e Ritorno (2014), with Italian and Brazilian artists and artistic production by Max de Tomassi of Italian network RAI, and Retalhos do Brasil (2017), a piano and voice collaboration with 13 Brazilian singers.

Metropolitan Jazz Octet

The Metropolitan Jazz Octet (MJO) is the reawakening of a group that started in the 1950’s by Chicago saxophonist and arranger Tom Hilliard. 

From 1950 through mid-'80s Hilliard wrote many of the octets compositions. He worked with Chicago’s top arrangers and studio musicians expanding the library to 150-plus charts. In 1959 MJO recorded an album on the Argo label called “The Legend of Bix,” a tribute to 1920's great cornetist and composer Bix Beiderbecke. 

As a professor at De Paul University School of Music, Hilliard taught three current members of MJO to whom he bequeathed his complete library, passing the torch to the next generation.

Colombia Andean Jazz Created by Javier Pérez Sandoval & Francy Montalvo. Playing since 2006. Carrera Quinta´s New album "Big Band" has been nominated for the Latin Grammy in the categorie of best Latin Jazz Album. In 2015 Carrera Quinta decided to come back to the studio and record a new album with a Big Band. Conducted by Colombian Director Ricardo Jaramillo and Recorded by the Latin Grammy award winner engineer Mauricio Cano, the 19 piece Band went to the studio and recorded something unique and special in Colombian music history. The album features compositions awarded in 2013 by Bogotá´s department of Arts, Idartes, and one piece commissioned by Bogotá´s Jazz Festival, Jazz al Parque, in 2014

Steve H. Williams

Composer, arranger and saxophonist Steve Williams has enjoyed a thirty-five year career performing many styles of music. He has appeared on numerous albums including the Latin Grammy winning (2008) "Caribbean Jazz Project/Afro Bop Alliance Big Band featuring Dave Samuels." Steve's big band album, "Steve Williams and Jazz Nation" is available on OA2 Records and features Steve's exciting arrangements and compositions. In 1997 Steve joined the United Stated Navy Band Commodores and has served as the band's lead alto player and musical director and has contributed over 50 compositions and arrangements

Norman David

Norman David directs, plays with and composes the music for his ensemble, The Eleventet. For almost 20 years beginning in the early 1980s, David led versions of the Eleventet in Boston, central Maine, and NYC. Among the musicians who have played with the band are George Garzone, Dick Oatts, Tim Hagans, John Fedchock, John Swana, Seamus Blake, Terell Stafford, Joe Magnarelli, and John Hébert. In 2000, David debuted the first Philadelphia version of The Eleventet and in mid-2007, he finalized an ongoing Philadelphia roster of players, comprised of the cream of that city's jazz artists. The Eleventet is featured exclusively throughout the year at Plays and Players Theater, one of Philadelphia's venerable venues for the creative arts

Song Dynasty

A collaboration between Taiwanese vocalist Li Liu and Canadian guitarist Ben Holt, Song Dynasty has been serenading audiences with their unique sounds since the group’s inception in 2015. Meeting in Denton, Texas, the duo decided to explore their musical differences and began cultivating a sound all their own. Liu began her music career while a university student of Chinese literature in Taiwan. She quickly rose to the top of the Taipei jazz scene, winning awards and accolades, eventually becoming one of the most sought-after voices in Taiwan. Seeking new inspiration and a deeper background in jazz, Liu relocated to the United States. A versatile guitarist based out of Dallas-Fort Worth, Holt was a regular on the jazz, country and pop scenes when he and Liu first met
