Dominik Schürmann

Born: March 15, 1971

Projects, tours and concerts with well-known musicians such as Hendrik Meurkens, Max Ionata, Frits Landesbergen, Martin Sasse, Luis Diego Bonilla, Jorge Rossy, Karl Ratzer, George Gruntz, Isla Eckinger, Oscar Klein, Vince Benedetti, Domenic Landolf, David Klein, Adrian Mears, Adam Taubitz, Titi Winterstein, Kurt Weil, Jim Galloway, John Serry, Bonnie Jeanne Taylor, Miguel de la Cerna, Othella Dallas, Andreas Herrmann, Markus Hauser, Mario Schneeberger, Sam Burckhardt and many more. He has performed in numerous jazz clubs and at jazz festivals in Switzerland and abroad.

He has been a member of Thomas Moeckel's "Centrio" since 1998. He has a long musical friendship with the well-known Swiss all-round musician Thomas Moeckel, during which countless joint projects have been created. Several of his own CD productions followed, such as the recordings "Dahaana", "Nothing Is As It Seems" (both with the hardbop formation Compulsion) and "Sambâle" with the trio formation Gutfleisch-Schürmann-Frey, founded in 2017 and co-produced by Swiss Radio SRF 2. His 2016 album "Upswing" was one of the most successful Swiss CD productions on international download platforms. In 2023 he founded the European Jazz Meeting with Max Ionata, Martin Sasse and Frits Landesbergen.

Dony Valentino

Dony Valentino è un compositore, pianista e violinista che in questi anni ha suonato in tour e in studio con alcuni dei più noti artisti della scena musicale italiana e straniera come Lucio Dalla, Al Bano, Jenny B, Wendy Lewis, Aida Cooper, Herbie Goins, Carlo Marrale (già Matia Bazar), tanto per citarne alcuni.

A dieci anni il suo primo concerto con brani di sua composizione, a tredici il suo ingresso al Conservatorio di Musica “N. Piccinni” di Bari e da lì in poi un’intensa attività concertistica che lo vedrà a fianco di nomi importanti della musica pop italiana e in programmi radiotelevisivi trasmessi su Radio Rai, Rai e Mediaset.

Ines Velasco

Inés Velasco is a Brooklyn based composer, arranger and drummer born in Guadalajara, México. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music with a dual degree in Jazz Composition and Performance.

Ms. Velasco’s recent work includes compositions for the National Jazz Orchestra of México, string arrangements for the NY Philharmonic’s ‘Bandwagon’ series with vocalist Juana Luna, as well as Alina Engirbayan’s CD ‘We Are’ (GroundUP, 2018), orchestration/transcription work including Avenged Sevenfold’s last studio album ‘Life Is But a Dream (Warner, 2023), and for Snarky Puppy/Metropole Orkest’s performance at the North Sea Jazz Festival in 2018. She was chosen to participate in the 2014 Metropole Orkest’s ‘Arranger’s Workshop’, under the tutelage of Vince Mendoza, where she arranged for jazz vocalist Gregory Porter. 

Joseph LoCascio

Born: November 15, 1955

Joe LoCascio has spent a lifetime writing and performing creative music. He is an award winning composer who has written for ensembles of all sizes and is prolific in both traditional and jazz genres. As a performer he has released 18 critically acclaimed jazz recordings. He has performed and recorded with major jazz figures such as Chet Baker, Randy Brecker, Dave Liebman, Frank Rehak, Freddie Hubbard, Tim Hagans, Tony Campise, George Coleman, Pharoah Sanders, Marvin Stamm, Billy Hart,, Tim Armacoast, Ernie Watts, Arnett Cobb, Woody Witt, Ed Soph and Jon Faddis. His 1980’s recordings made extensive use of electronics, but always with acoustic piano at the center

Alex Madeline

Born: February 15, 1990

From the heart of Europe to the vibrant
landscapes of the USA, saxophonist and
composer, Alex Madeline is continuously
seeking the music that reveals the stories
yearning to be told. He discovered his love
for the saxophone at age 14 and has since
infused 17 years of professional classical
jazz into being a musician - composer
who creatively brings novel sonic
experiences to the international jazz
stage.
Recognized for his exceptional talent, Alex
was awarded a scholarship to the
prestigious Berklee College of Music in
Boston where he studied under the
tutelage of George Garzone, Bill Pierce and
Hal Crook. Since then he has garnered
prestigious awards, including: Paul
Wagner Award in 2014 and the Queens
Council on the Arts New Work Grant in
2022.
His performances have graced renowned
venues worldwide, from the iconic
Carnegie Hall and the Blue Note in NYC to
the illustrious Kennedy Center. As opening
acts for Maceo Parker (as part of his band
TBK) and Iggy Pop (featured in the rock
band Kim Novak), his music has resonated
at international festivals, including the
Saint Germain dès Près Jazz Festival in
Paris and the Mugham Center in Baku,
Azerbaijan, showcasing the depth and
versatility of his artistry.

Ed Johnson

Born: February 6, 1950

Classical. Brazilian. R&B. Jazz. Afro-Cuban. Popular Rock and Roll. ED JOHNSON’s mastery of so many different styles, coupled with a passion for harmony vocal and horn arrangements, all factor into a magical blend of vibrant, original contemporary jazz that is winning fans and airplay worldwide.

As a vocalist, Ed Johnson is frequently compared to Ivan Lins, Milton Nascimento, Kenny Rankin, and Michael Franks. As a guitarist and bandleader, critics often cite the lushly exotic, accessible sounds of Airto and Flora Purim. Angelo Velasquez

Angelo Velasquez is a proud Los Angeles based Jazz drummer, composer, and band leader. He is a graduate of California State University Northridge Jazz Department, the 2021 Downbeat winner for best composition, and the Disney scholarship winner at Cal arts where he received his MFA in jazz performance. The leader of “YOCOYA”, Angelo blends, musical styles from all over the world with jazz, in both his playing and compositions to create a powerful, unifying, and emotional musical experience. Angelo has performed with the likes of Dontae Winslow, Logan Richardson, Luis Conte, Sasha Berliner, Nick Mancini, Steve Lehman, Larry Koonse, Alphonso Johnson, Eric Marienthal, Wayne Bergeron , Brian Scanlon, Ira Nepus, Gary Pratt, Bob Sheppard, Bobby Shew, and John Daversa

Molly Plaisted

Born: September 9, 2000

Molly Plaisted (they/them) is a rising Hartford-based drummer, composer, arranger, and educator. Focusing on Jazz, Molly began their study of the drums at age five. While attending Nashua High School South, Molly’s music education was built upon performing in large ensembles, including the NH Jazz All-State Big Band and the Spartans Drum and Bugle Corps. Molly’s passion to pursue a musical career was sparked as they began composing and arranging music at age sixteen.

In 2022, Molly graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Jazz and Afro-American Music Studies from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, studying under Jeffrey W. Holmes, Tom Giampietro, and Felipe Salles. While at UMass Amherst, Molly’s studies at UMass Amherst led them to perform as the principal drum set player in the Downbeat award-winning Jazz Ensemble 1 and Marimba Band 1. They also were appointed as the center snare for the Sudler Trophy award-winning UMass Minuteman Marching Band and led its nationally recognized percussion section. Molly produced and released two remotely recorded EPs, a junior and a senior recital, and composed and arranged dozens of works. By the end of their time at UMass Amherst, Molly was awarded The Fletcher Henderson/Max Roach Scholarship Award for their outstanding achievements and dedication to the Jazz Studies program and represented the UMass Jazz Department in New York City at the International Association of Schools of Jazz 2022 conference.

Brian Clemens

Born: July, 1994

Brian Clemens is a Southern California-based pianist, arranger, composer, educator, and bandleader. Brian enjoys a career as a versatile pianist covering anything from Latin Jazz, Great American Songbook, R&B, and country-western music. After obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Music from Chapman University in Orange, CA, Brian continued his education with a Master's Degree in Music Performance (Jazz and Commercial Music) from Cal State Fullerton where he was a two time winner of the "Friends of Jazz" Scholarship Award.

Brian has played at internationally and at well-known Orange and Los Angeles County venues such as Herb Albert's Vibrato Jazz Grille, The Coach House,  and more and has studied with world-class classical and jazz musicians such as the Grammy Award-winning pianist, Bill Cunliffe

Juancho Herrera

Juancho Herrera Hailing from Colombia and Venezuela, guitarist/vocalist/composer Juancho Herrera is one of the most interesting performers of today’s New York Latin American music scene. With an impressive career of more than 20 years as a frontman and sideman, Juancho has had the opportunity to perform at some of the most important venues in 34 countries in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas, such as The Kennedy Center (Washington D.C.), Shibuya Koukaido (Tokyo), Centro Cultural Corpbanca (Caracas), Carnegie Hall, Blue Note (New York), Teatro Municipal (Santiago de Chile), among others
