Joseph de Dominicis

Joseph de Dominicis, ‘Joe D’, is a composer and acoustic guitarist. He performs his music on a seven steel-string archtop guitar. He is a native New Yorker. His first album, ‘Joseph de Dominicis Songs: Volume One’ with vocals and piano by Gloria Cooper was released on the label Carol MRP Co. He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in General Music and he earned a Master of Arts Degree in Music Composition from the City University of New York at Hunter College in 1995, studying with Edward Knight and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Melinda Wagner. Nineteen-year-old artist Kalen Henry grew up in an eclectic musical cradle. The daughter of a school teacher and a musician, Kalen included the music of several generations and genres in her childhood tapestry. From Stravinsky to Red Hot Chili Peppers, music always had a profound effect on her. “What I enjoy most about making music is the sounds musicians create together. Each part intertwines to form something mesmerizing, and we're all transported to an unparalleled zone where the music hijacks our souls and takes us to someplace better. A world full of people, different in almost every single way, but united by a love for the art of music— it truly is a beautiful thing.” Says Kalen.
