About Me

For too long we have encountered numerous jazz musicians whose amazing works have remained silent, or are at most limited in their reach, often due to resource constraints. Many of these talented jazz artists are not able to record, market or distribute their works. Turnaround Records’ mission is to become a conduit for these jazz musicians, so their artistry and creativity can flourish in a nurturing environment while their sounds reach the largest audience possible. We are intent on bringing you tomorrow’s great jazz artists today.

Turnaround has a distinct artistic model. We give our artists control over many aspects of the production and creative process, yet we still provide the required oversight of experienced management. This model helps our artists create unique and innovative works that are savored by jazz novices and connoisseurs alike. Turnaround Records considers only the most skilled, gifted and creative musicians for our label, and we often are able to present artists as they emerge into the international arena.

Turnaround also has a unique business model that supports and nurtures our growing talent. Unlike many traditional record labels which retain exclusive ownership rights to their artists’ works, Turnaround Records partners with our artists. We allow them to retain a substantial ownership stake or revenue share in their musical works. This model helps to foster a highly artistic environment where our talent can thrive creatively and financially.
