Dana Leong

About Me

Dana studied classical cello and jazz trombone at the Manhattan School of Music. Since then, he has taken up the electric bass, trumpet, and bass trumpet. Dana has recently performed and recorded in many musical genres and venues around the world as an instrumentalist with such artists as Richard Stoltzman at Carnegie Hall, Boyz II Men at the 39th Annual Grammy Awards, Earth Wind & Fire, Barry White, DLG at Shea Stadium NYC, Ray Charles, Henry Threadgill, Steve Coleman, Lionel Hampton, The Mingus Big Band, Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, and the Manhattan Chamber Orchestra. He has also acted and performed in Steven Spielberg's feature film “The Terminal,” NBC's “Law & Order,” and “The Today Show.”

Dana Has Produced musical recordings used in the New York Time Out showcase for video, music, dance, performance, film, & literature at NYC's “The Kitchen.” He was also commissioned to write music for the “Special Session on Chrildren,” which was performed at the United Nations.

In addition to a frequent performance schedule, Dana composes and administrates for his music production company Tateo Sound, which produces music for film, radio, cd, and television.
