Pep Salazar

Pep is the Artistic Director of ECM Series Barcelona

About Me

I studied drama and interpretation at the Institut del Teatre (Barcelona), at the Actors Studio in London, and at the Royal Academy of London. I hold a postgraduate degree in Cultural Policies and Management by the Universitat de Barcelona. I've also developed my professional activity as a freelance specializing in production and logistics coordination for several festivals including Festival de Jazz de Terrassa, Sonar Festival, Festival de Jazz de Barcelona, etc.

Currently, I'm working as a technical director for various cultural programs including OFFF festival in Lisboa and Paris. Also, I've worked for La Fura dels Baus, The Teatre Lliure, Grec and Peralada festivals, and Centre of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona, among others. I've designed strategic plans for the Cultural Promotion Department of the Generalitat de Catalunya, for the Festival Shakespeare in Santa Susanna, near Barcelona, and for the Performing Arts Centre of Terrassa. I'm the artistic director of ECM Series in L'Auditori (Barcelona) and teacher at the Esmuc. I'm also project director at ZERO4, and artistic director of modern music at the Auditori of Girona.
