Jacqueline Hopkins is a New York native who has been writing songs all her life, but who finally decided to pursue it as a career in 2001. She writes hot jazz that challenges conventions. Her stellar band includes jazz greats in their own right: The amazing Hilliard “Hill” Green on upright and electric bass, The electrifying Elise Wood on flute and alto flute, The soulful Antoine Drye on trumpet, the electrifying Grant Langford on tenor saxophone, and the peerless Caroline Taylor on drums.
