About Me

Daryl Hayott is an established and world respected multi-instrumentalist. He plays bass, drums, percussion, trumpet, piano and violin -to name a few instruments. He is a Brazilian artist who has played with the likes of Sade, Al Jarreau, Joe Zawinal, Osibissa, Teddy Riley, etc. He was a teenage prodigy who was signed with Electric Lady Studios as a session musician and then went on to Warner Bros.

His band Tribe Konfuciousklan is comprised of top notch vocals as well as instrument versatility from the members. “All of us are experienced in several instruments. This allows flexibility and openness.” says Daryl.

The band is more of a family concept in order to maximize the collective experiences. Their performance relationship is amazing. Two songs, Y.Y.Y. and BLACK ANACONDA were written for an INDIE film. Both pieces met critic's acclaim for originality and tight percussive licks. There's also a LIVE piece done in Rome,Italy performed Feb,2006. All mentioned tunes have reached the top of the indie charts in succession. In the 2007 season there was the cd “Astral Breezes” and a live cd recorded in the fall.

Daryl is CEO of Keep the Light Records, an independent music label and continues to record and produce artists.

The latest cd release is Mystical Lines, available at http://KeeptheLightRecords.com.
