My Jazz Story

I love jazz because...lots of reasons, but mainly because there's improvisation. I was first exposed to jazz...on TV, I seem to remember Oscar Peterson sweating profusely over his piano I met Pat Metheny...after a gig with my friend and teacher John Etheridge The best show I ever attended was...above PM gig and Bill Frisell circa 1989 The first jazz(ish) record I bought was...probably Alive and Well in Paris by Soft Machine My advice to new listeners...Start with Miles and Coltrane
