About Me

Jason is a music student of Sly Wallace, Dean Hill, Norman Fisher, Tom Burchill, Curtis Bradshaw, Claude Johnson, Uriah Ellion and Prof. James Williams Sr. Jason has attended Lincoln High School, Weatherford College, Eastfield College and Texas College. He is conductor and Co-Producer for Mahogany and the Jam Box Band. He has been playing musical instruments for 25 years. Some of his notable ventures, affiliations and awards are First Chair All-State Junior College Jazz Band(Lead Alto Sax 1993), Platinum Sales Award with God's Property Album, Who's Who on College Campuses 1997, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. (Sigma Sigma Chapter), Marching Major Domos Inc. Drum Major Fraternity, Sea Breeze Orchestra, Opening act for David Sanborn (Starplex), Roy Ayers (Gilleys), David Fathead Newman (Ramada), Erykah Badu (Bass Hall) and numerous sideman dates with artist like Charles Collins (Sounds Of Philly), The Impressions, Roy Hargrove (Artfest 2001), Lucky Peterson (New Orleans Jazz Festival) and Edwin Holt with the East Texas Symphony Orchestra. Jason has recorded with Pieces of a Dream (No Assembly Required), The Dallas Jazz Orchestra, N'Dambi (Tunin Up and Cosignin) and many others over the years. Today Mr. Davis is teaching and studying privately in Dallas, TX. He is available for performances, arranging, composition, music production and any other music related endeavor.
