Andrea Mann

About Me

Andrea Mann's relaxed and smoky vocal style has been compared to those of Diana Krall and Julie London. But her mixture of classic material from the Great American Songbook, Brazilian bossa novas and arrangements of pop songs by the likes of Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney and Coldplay - as heard on her debut album 'Photograph' - makes her approach to jazz singing both unique and accessible.

Based in London - and initially a student of jazz vocal workshops at Richmond Adult College - Andrea has been singing professionally for just four years, working with some of the best jazz musicians in the country. She performs at jazz venues, private parties and corporate functions throughout the UK - and the places she has played include the Oxford Jazz Festival, 606 Club, Kensington Palace and the Royal Society of Arts. In 2008 she also had a two-month residency at the 5-star G Hotel in Malaysia.

When she's not singing or writing about herself in the third person, Andrea is a freelance journalist and a big fan of Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert and Keith Olbermann. Not that she has a thing for American men. Oh no.
