About Me

Highly acclaimed Saxophonist, flautist and composer Rob Lavers performs music from his second album 'Small Creature'(33 Records). The core band features Parisian drummer Laurent Robin, pianist/composer Jamil Sheriff and Hungarian bass player Zoltan Dekany. Rob has fast established himself as an international player. Early on in his career he gained runner-up in the Young Jazz Musician of the Year and has since toured worldwide, performing with numerous artists including New Mastersounds, Evelyn Glennie and Juan Martin. Last year the Quartet performed to a packed house at the Manchester Jazz Festival and were described as a 'revelation' in Jazzwise Magazine.
