About Me

Lee Jones is a young Nu Jazz/Americana guitarist and composer from the UK. He has performed at a number of national jazz clubs and festivals in recent years and has appeared as a special guest with guitarist Martin Taylor at the Pizza Express, London.

After winning Jazz Fm’s “Best New Instrumentalist” award, Lee completed the BMus Jazz (Hons) course at Birmingham Conservatoire in 2007; studying with Partisans’ guitarist Phil Robson.

In Summer 2007, he released his debut album “Swish” with former WEA producer Simon Tittley which featured throughout the jazz media and on radio in the UK and North America.

Lee has just released his second album “Songs from the 13th Hour” featuring US jazz-fusion guitarist Larry Coryell and saxophonist Jean Toussaint. Lee will be performing the project throughout 2012 with his own group in addition to teaching guitar privately and for various colleges.
