About Me

Credentials?

I gave up playing clarinet in grade school.

I've spent the last 30 jazzbo years (that's 180 in dried rat-dog years!) dropping more disposable income into recordings and the occasional show than is wise. The first 20 years were spent almost exclusively indulging in hard bop. These days I find myself drawn to nearly everything that came before and after that movement... except for egregious 70's fusion stuff. I mean jeez, who wants to be reminded of girls laughing and saying “No.”
