My Jazz Story

I love jazz because it's improvised music, free, and thus, most creative. I was first exposed to jazz around 1968. I met fair number including the likes of Chick Corea, Michal Urbaniak, Tomasz Stanko, Jeremy Pelt, and David Sanchez. The best show I ever attended was Chick Corea Trio with Avishai Cohen & Jeff Ballard around 2000 at Blues Alley in Washington, DC. The first jazz record I bought was "First Time" by Duke Ellington & Count Basie bands. My advice to new listeners... listen very attentively and be patient. It takes time to fully appreciate jazz.
