My Jazz Story

I love jazz because it is an amazing art form. I was first exposed to jazz while attending UC Berkeley that hosted visiting jazz performers in the Bay Area. I met Flip Nunez in the 1970's and became a longtime fan and friend until he died. The first jazz record I bought was Miles Davis, Sketches of Spain. I am lucky to live in the Bay Area to see amazing performers, new and old. I plan on attending the Monterey Jazz Festival for it's 60th anniversary in 2017.
